Turkish with English subitiles
To work as a guest worker a Turkish mother migrates to Germany without her children. The family reunification takes some years. The smallest daughter of that family, Özgür, shares her story of growing up without a mother. Özgür´s biographic story is brought to the audience through 2d animated natural representations.
In 1998 Ben Jakober and Yannick Vu collaborated on an obvious remake of Marcel Duchamp’s Roue de Bicyclette, his first “readymade” object. Duchamp combined a bicycle wheel, a fork and a stool to create a machine which served no purpose, subverting accepted norms of art.
