When can I visit Pera Museum free of admission?
Pera Museum is free for everyone between 18.00 and 22.00 on Fridays and for all students on Wednesdays. Friends of Pera Museum, the disabled plus one companion, children aged 12 or below, ICOM cardholders and members of the press are free of admission charges.
How much is the admission fee at Pera Museum?

Where is Pera Museum?
Pera Museum is on Meşrutiyet Street, Tepebaşı Neighborhood; in front of İspark and right next to Odakule. You can get to the museum by getting off at the Şişhane stop on the Yenikapı-Hacıosman metro line. Visitors who will travel by bus may get off in front of the British Consulate General Istanbul on Tarlabaşı Boulevard.
Does Pera Museum have lifts for the disabled?
The Museum is accessible to wheelchair users and other visitors who need to avoid stairs. Elevators are located throughout the building. Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are available.
How many floors are there in Pera Museum?
The Auditorium and Pera Learning workshop are located on the -1st floor of Pera Museum. The reception desk, Artshop and Pera Café are on the ground floor; “Coffee Break" and "Anatolian Weights and Measures” exhibitions are on the first floor. “Osman Hamdi Bey and Intersecting Worlds” exhibitions are on the second floor. Temporary exhibitions may be found on the third, fourth and fifth floors.
Is photography allowed inside the Museum?
Photography (without flash) is allowed in the Museum.
Where can I leave my backpack or stroller?
There is a designated area for bags and strollers in the cloakroom.

Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Pera Museum is a not-for-profit organization and does not sell artworks; it operates within the legal framework regarding private museums. Therefore, the foundation’s collections are public.
Does Pera Museum evaluate artifacts?
Pera Museum does not offer such a service. We only focus on the works within her own collections.

PERA LEARNING
Where are Pera Learning Programs held in the museum?,
The workshops are held in the Pera Learning Workshop located in the basement of the Museum, and online tours and events are held on Zoom.
Who can attend Pera Learning Programs?
Each program is designed for different groups. Children, teenagers, adults, senior citizens, school groups (preschool, primary school, middle school, high school), special education students and teachers can attend these programs.
Do I have to make a reservation to attend workshops?
Some workshops require tickets, while you may need to make reservations for others. Workshop descriptions include attendance requirements. You may fill out the form on the workshop page to submit your attendance request for events requiring a reservation. Reservation is mandatory for school groups to attend guided tours and workshops.
Do I have to purchase a ticket to attend workshops?
Some workshops require tickets to attend. You can purchase your ticket by clicking on the "Book Tickets" button on the relevant workshop page.
Should I bring any materials for the workshops?
Workshop materials are provided by Pera Museum. You do not need to bring any materials unless otherwise stated in the workshop description.
Can we take our creations with us when leaving the workshop?
Yes, you may. Some workshops require the works to be photographed before taking them with you. Unless otherwise stated in the workshop description, you may take your creations with you.
What is the minimum age requirement for my child to attend individual workshops?
Children aged 4 years (48 months) or over are allowed to participate in individual workshops.
Which age groups are children's workshops designed for?
Children's workshops are designed for children aged 4-6 and 7-12.
Can parents attend children's workshops?
Children should attend the individual workshops alone.
Are there any workshops that allow parents to attend?
Parents can accompany their children in the special Mother’s Day and Father's Day workshops.
What is the duration of the children's workshops?
Each workshop is different. Please read the workshop descriptions before attending.
Is there an area for parents bringing their children to the workshops to wait until the workshop starts?
After completing registration at the reception desk 15 minutes before the workshop starts, parents can spend time at Pera Museum or Pera Café.
What is the age requirement for attending Pera Young workshops?
The Pera Young workshops are open to everyone aged between 13 and 17.
Is there a participation fee for the Pera Young workshops?
Each workshop is different. Please read workshop descriptions before attending.
How many students are allowed to take a guided tour or attend workshops as a school group?
The events in the museum require at least 10 students and allow at most 25 students to be in a school group. We kindly ask for two student chaperones to be present for groups of 30. Virtual tours and events require at least 10 students and allow at most 60 students to be in a school group.
Are there any documents for school groups to read before coming to the museum?
Teachers may find helpful information in “Teachers' Guide Books” regarding collection exhibitions on the website.
What is the process for visiting the museum as a school group?
Firstly, groups are welcomed by instructors at the entrance of the museum and are directed to the workshop. There is a short briefing about the tour, followed by a visit to the related exhibitions. Then, students attend exhibition-themed workshops led by instructors.
Can we bring food and drinks to the workshops?
For hygiene reasons, food and drinks are not allowed in the workshops.
How long before the visiting time should we arrive at the museum?
You should be at the museum 10 minutes before the visiting time you selected while making your reservation.
When should we notify the Museum if we want to postpone or cancel our reservation?
You should notify the Museum at least one week in advance.
What happens if we arrive later than our reservation time?
As the training time of the next group would overlap with the time allocated to the group arriving late, we would have to shorten the duration of the guided tours and workshops. Reservation will be cancelled if the group arrives more than 15 minutes late.
What is the procedure for reservations cancelled due to late arrival?
We will set a new date for your visit.
How can school groups get to the museum?
School groups are responsible for their travel arrangements. Students should get off the school bus in front of the museum with their teachers. Teachers should arrange to pick up in front of the museum 10 minutes before the workshop ends. The Museum’s address may be found on the Visit page of our website. Click here for location information.
Is there a parking space for a school bus?
There are convenient parking lots near the Museum. However, the Museum cannot reserve a parking space.
What are the guided tour and workshop participation fees for school groups?
For public schools, all "Learning Programs” (preschool, primary school, middle school, high school) are free of charge during the academic year.
For private schools (preschool, primary school, middle school), the per-person participation fee for workshops in the Museum and online exhibition tours is 75TL and 50TL, respectively. Physical event participation fees should be paid at the reception desk on the day of the event, and online tour participation fees should be transferred to the account details provided via e-mail. Reservation will be confirmed after payment is made. Online exhibition tours are free of charge for private high school students.
How can I attend workshops for teachers?
Some workshops may require you to register via email, while others may require you to fill out a reservation form on the website. Workshop descriptions include attendance requirements. Teachers can attend exhibition tours and workshops free of charge. Reservation is required for groups including no less than 5 and no more than 10 participants. Reservation is required for groups including no less than 20 and no more than 80 participants, for online workshops on the Zoom Meeting application.
How can I attend the 60+ Learning Programs?
Only nursing home residents are allowed to attend. You may make a reservation by sending us an e-mail at ogrenme@peramuzesi.org.tr.
What do the 60+ Learning Programs offer?
These programs offer exhibition tours and workshops focusing on works selected from collections and temporary exhibitions. Reservation is required for groups including no less than 5 and no more than 10 participants. Participation is free of charge.
These workshops are scheduled for Tuesday afternoons, either face-to-face or online.
Who can attend the Pera Enabled Programs?
Special needs primary, middle and high school students can attend workshops for the mentally disabled. The workshops are carried out in cooperation with Special Needs Education Institutions.
What do the Pera Enabled Programs offer?
Over the course of one and a half hours, the groups take a guided exhibition tour and then experiment with painting, collages, and various designs or create 3D forms using clay in the workshop.
How can I attend the Pera Enabled Programs?
The Museum prepares an annual event schedule in collaboration with Special Needs Education Institutions. Please contact us at ogrenme@peramuzesi.org.tr. Reservation is required for groups including no more than 10 participants. The Program’s activities take place on tuesdays and wednesdays.
Is there a participation fee for the Pera Enabled Programs?
The Programs are free of charge for all special needs students and the teachers accompanying them.

Where do Pera Film screenings take place?
The film screenings take place in the auditorium located on the -1st floor of Pera Museum.
How much are Pera Film tickets?
Everyone can buy discounted tickets (TL 10) to Pera Film screenings. Screenings on Wednesday are free of charge for students.
Can I use my membership card at film screenings?
Friends of Pera Museum can attend all Pera Film programs and events free of charge. Click here for detailed information about the Friends of Pera Museum Membership Program.
How can I purchase tickets?
You can purchase tickets to Pera Film screenings via Biletix or at Pera Museum’s reception desk. You may attend the screenings by showing a printout of your Biletix tickets or the QR code/PDF document you downloaded to your mobile phone at the reception desk.
Can I make a reservation for film screenings?
Pera Museum does not take reservations for Pera Film screenings and events.
Can I watch a film screening of which I have missed?
As part of Pera Film programs, all films are screened as per the agreements made with the copyright holders. It is illegal to archive these films, and we are unable to share a digital copy of a film after its screening, even if it is for educational purposes.

Yes, journalists can attend Pera Film screenings free of charge by showing their press cards.
Do you take any anti-COVID-19 measures at Pera Film screenings?
As part of the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have changed the seating arrangement in the auditorium, ensuring all the necessary hygiene and social distancing measures. The auditorium is regularly disinfected, and the health status of all our staff is closely monitored. We only sell a limited number of tickets, requiring the audience to wear masks and follow social distancing rules.
EVENTS
Can I make a reservation for the events in advance?
Unless otherwise stated on the event page, Pera Museum does not take reservations for its events. Ticketed and free-admission events are hosted on a first come, first served basis.
Can I purchase tickets without having to go to the Museum?
You may purchase tickets to events via Biletix. However, due to high demand, tickets to the Turkish Music Concerts may only be purchased at Pera Museum’s reception desk on the day of the event.
Is professional photography/filming allowed at the events?
We do not allow professional photography or filming at Pera Museum’s events or any content produced by such means to be uploaded to any platform without Pera Museum’s knowledge.
Can I bring children to the concerts?
There is no restriction for children attending Pera Museum’s concerts. We encourage young visitors to attend the events with parental supervision.
How early do I have to arrive for events?
We recommend that you arrive at the museum at least half an hour before the popular free-admission events that take place in areas with limited visitor capacity such as exhibition halls. If you purchased your ticket in advance, you may arrive at the Museum 10-15 minutes before the event starts.
Do you offer discounts to 60+, teachers and students at events?
We do not offer any discounts to 60+, teachers and students at the events with cheap tickets.
Is there a special discount for the Friends of Pera Museum Membership Card holders at events?
The Membership Card holders of all categories can enjoy free admission to film programs and exhibition tours and a 50% discount at concerts.
How can I attend online events?
In order to attend the events held on the Zoom application, you should fill out the reservation form by clicking on the relevant link provided on the event page. No registration is required for watching events broadcast live on YouTube or other social media platforms.
How can I get notified about and attend online events?
We announce our online events on our website and social media accounts like all our other events. You only need to go to our YouTube channel for events broadcast live on YouTube. For events held on different applications, you should register at least 24 hours before the time of the event. Thus, we can send you the necessary instructions to attend via e-mail on the day of the event.

Is photography/filming allowed during events?
Permission is required for professional photography or filming during Pera Museum’s events. Please e-mail us at info@peramuzesi.org.tr for photograph or video requests. Unauthorized photography or filming is prohibited.
What is the procedure for photography/filming in exhibition halls?

The days when the museum is closed are reserved for maintenance, repair, cleaning and organizing. For this reason, our exhibition halls may not be available for visiting on these days. Yes, we have a membership system called “Friends of Pera Museum Program”.
How can I become a member of the Friends of Pera Museum Program?
To become a member, you need to fill out and sign an application form you can get from Pera Museum Artshop and pay the annual membership fee for the membership category of your choosing.
How can I pay for the Friends of Pera Museum Program?
You can pay in cash or with your credit card at Pera Museum Artshop. We do not have an online payment system.
How can I take delivery of my membership card?
Your card will be ready at the Museum’s reception desk within a maximum of one week after your payment.
I have lost my Friends of Pera Museum Program card. What should I do?
