August 15 - September 30, 2018
Pera Museum’s Summmer '18 exhibition highlighted the creative world of children participating in this year’s summer workshops inspired by Istanbul’s Seaside Leisure and Shaken Image exhibitions. The outcomes from all workshops was presented as a digital exhibition and a selected wide range was also on view in the workshop gallery space.
In these workshops, children discovered arts and crafts with the inspiration drawn from Pera Museum’s temporary exhibitions. Take a look at this year’s workshops.
Martín Zapater y Clavería, born in Zaragoza on November 12th 1747, came from a family of modest merchants and was taken in to live with a well-to-do aunt, Juana Faguás, and her daughter, Joaquina de Alduy. He studied with Goya in the Escuelas Pías school in Zaragoza from 1752 to 1757 and a friendship arose between them which was to last until the death of Zapater in 1803.
Today we are thrilled to present the third playlist of Amrita Hepi’s Soothsayer Serenades series as part of the Notes for Tomorrow exhibition. The playlist titled Serenades to the Sun is presented by Kornelia Binicewiczon Pera Museum’s Spotify account.
