The Art of Weights and Measures Exhibition Tour

The guided tour explores the Art of Weights and Measures exhibition from a thematic perspective. The tour examines Anatolia's social and economic history spanning four millennia through metaphors shaped around the concepts of weights and measures. Through the exhibited artefacts, participants will have the opportunity to experience the development of these concepts across Mesopotamia, Anatolia, Egypt, the Aegean, and the Mediterranean regions.

Blow-Up

Blow-Up tells the story of Thomas, a successful fashion photographer living in London. As he goes about his daily routine, capturing fashion shoots and ordinary moments, he accidentally photographs a mysterious event in a park. Upon enlarging (blowing up) the images, he begins to suspect that his pictures contain clues to a murder.

Cute Swinging Bats

In the workshop, children design bats that swing back and forth by folding paper plates, adding wings and painting them in the colors of their choice. While designing cardboard versions of these creatures, which are also known for sleeping upside down without falling, children develop their hand skills and explore their creativity.

Diorama Workshop: Forest of the Night

In this workshop, children explore the art of diorama by designing a world full of strange plants and imaginary animals. They create their story by moving between colors, textures, and forms and create three-dimensional compositions with paper, cardboard, and different materials.

Calculations and Coincidences

The publication accompanying the exhibition features Kinga Rózsa Hamvai's curatorial text and Kerem Ozan Bayraktar's essay, "I Love Order but I Can't Stand It," which takes its title from Vera Molnár's words. Bayraktar's text explores Molnár's practice alongside the historical context of algorithmic art.
