Based on Marilú Mallet's experiences as a Chilean immigrant in Canada, the documentary is a poignant self-portrait filmed nine years after the director's exile from Chile. The narrative revolves around Mallet's attempt to make a film reflecting his deep sense of loneliness in a foreign land. Throughout the documentary, Mallet faces various challenges, including criticism from her film director husband, who disapproves of her approach to filmmaking.
