The award-winning Greek director Periklis Hoursoglou takes us to a journey through time as his debut film’s script emerged in a time of 16 years, since he was 12 years old, until he reached 28 and made the film. He also discusses with the producer Anna Maria Aslanoglu about the similarities and differences in making a film in the 1990s compared to today.
The event will take place at the Pera Museum Auditorium as part of the Greek Film Days. Free admissions. The event will be held in Greek with Turkish consecutive translation. Limited space, drop in, no reservations.
The exhibition Look at Me! Portraits and Other Fictions from the ”la Caixa” Contemporary Art Collection examines portraiture, one of the oldest artistic genres, through a significant number of works of our times. Through the exhibition we will be sharing about the artists and sections in Look At Me!.
Henryk Weyssenhoff, author of landscapes, prints, and illustrations, devoted much of his creative energies to realistic vistas of Belorussia, Lithuania, and Samogitia. A descendant of an ancient noble family which moved east to the newly Polonised Inflanty in the 17th century, the young Henryk was raised to cherish Polish national traditions.
Pera Museum, in collaboration with Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), is one of the main venues for this year’s 15th Istanbul Biennial from 16 September to 12 November 2017. Through the biennial, we will be sharing detailed information about the artists and the artworks.
