They soon have a son he names Dollar… From China to Australia, the lives, loves, hopes and disillusions of a family over two generations in a society changing at breakneck speed. This intimate epic from the director Jia Zhang Ke explores the rapid pace of China's modernisation through the lens of one family's choices over the course of 26 years.
