  • July 19, 2023 / 13:30
  • July 20, 2023 / 10:30

Children are taken on a journey into the past of human history and learn about the stone sculptures produced thousands of years ago by visiting the exhibition Isabel Muñoz: A New Story. Afterwards, they learn about the history of museology and how the methods of exhibiting art have come to the present by tracing its unknown mysteries. In the workshop, the children create their own holograms inspired by the photographs in the exhibition through new-generation technologies.

Materials: Participants who want to create the hologram with their own device should bring a tablet (or smartphone) to use in the workshop. Those who are not able to  bring a device can also participate in the workshop and experience the process from a common device from the workshop.)

Instructor: Studio Cultia - İdil Bilgin, Gamze Çevik
Capacity: 10 people
Duration: 90 minutes
Fee per workshop: 300 TL

The event will take place at the Pera Museum (face-to-face).

The Captive Sultan

The war fought by the Greeks to shake off the Turkish yoke was closely observed around Europe and, this being the era of romanticism, the events taking place around Greece between 1821 and 1832 became a symbol for national liberation struggle.

At The Well

At The Well

Tadeusz Ajdukiewicz discovered the Orient in 1877, touring Syria, Egypt, Turkey, and the Crimea with Władysław Branicki. This experience made a profound impression on him, and he was to continuously revisit Eastern themes in his works for the rest of his life.

Game of Mangala

Game of Mangala

Three figures in Eastern dress are shown in repose against an exotic landscape, smoking pipes and playing mangala. Inventories of the royal collections from 1739 identify the members of this group as the royal eunuch Matthias and two odalisques.
