Inspired by the world of colors and shapes in Calculations and Coincidences, children use technical Lego bricks and simple coding logic together in the workshop. Children build drawing machines by changing angles, directions and the position of the cogs, and create color and pattern combinations by integrating colored pencils into the machine.

Instructor: Bricks4Kidz Ulus
Capacity: 10 people
Duration: 90 minutes
Fee per workshop: 300 TL

The event will take place at the Pera Museum (face-to-face).

From two portraits of children…

From two portraits of children…

The Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation’s Orientalist Painting Collection includes two children’s portraits that are often featured in exhibitions on the second floor of the Pera Museum. These portraits both date back to the early 20th century, and were made four years apart. One depicts Prince Abdürrahim Efendi, son of Sultan Abdulhamid II, while the figure portrayed on the other is Nazlı, the daughter of Osman Hamdi Bey.

Giorgio de Chirico

Giorgio de Chirico

Giorgio de Chirico was born on July 10, 1888, in Volos, Greece, to an Italian family. His mother, Gemma Cervetto, was from a family of Genoa origin, but most likely she was born in Izmir. His father, Evaristo, was born on June 21, 1841 in the Büyükdere district of Istanbul.

Frida Kahlo

Frida Kahlo

Frida Kahlo was born on July 6, 1907 in Coyoacán, Mexico. Exactly 47 years from now, before she died in the same city and her beloved Mexico, many things would happen; she’d meet Diego Rivera, become a world-renowned artist, and allow many of her fans to dress like her on Halloween.
