Ages: 7-12

  • April 18, 2023 / 13:30

This workshop is based on The Art of Weights and Measures exhibition, in which the imaginative connotations of the concepts of heavy and light are experienced through movement and dance. Dancing with the guidance of the visually animated images by focusing on co-creation, the children experience the “lightness” and “heaviness” of the movement playfully. Children embark on a curious journey to the exciting ways of co-creation in the company of different art disciplines.

From two portraits of children…

The Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation’s Orientalist Painting Collection includes two children’s portraits that are often featured in exhibitions on the second floor of the Pera Museum. These portraits both date back to the early 20th century, and were made four years apart. One depicts Prince Abdürrahim Efendi, son of Sultan Abdulhamid II, while the figure portrayed on the other is Nazlı, the daughter of Osman Hamdi Bey.
