What would it be like if colors moved around? Wouldn't it be fun to come up with colorful shapes that interacted, mingled and oscillated? In this workshop, we draw inspiration from the patterns found in the backgrounds of miniature artworks. We mix watercolor with various materials such as salt and acetone to form abstract patterns and shape color clusters. We learn to make experimental paintings with watercolor, and discover the surprising shapes created by color on paper.
The video has been prepared that you can do the workshop at home whenever you want.
After purchasing your ticket, you need to send your full name, phone, e-mail account as well as your reference number to firstname.lastname@example.org by e-mail so that we can send you the workshop video and material list. In 1998 Ben Jakober and Yannick Vu collaborated on an obvious remake of Marcel Duchamp’s Roue de Bicyclette, his first “readymade” object. Duchamp combined a bicycle wheel, a fork and a stool to create a machine which served no purpose, subverting accepted norms of art.
