Pera Museum continues to collaborate with national and international education institutions to introduce young artists’ and designers’ works to audiences. As part of the Confrontation exhibit held on the 25th anniversary of Yeditepe University, events bring panelists from different disciplines together.
The talk on “Intellectualism and Creativity in Acting” will focus on the questions of “How can we render the art of acting to be more than simply imitation?” and “What is the relationship between creativity, intellectualism and critical thinking?” in discussing the actor’s approach and responsibility in the world they live in today.
This meeting will be held on Zoom in Turkish. Reservations are required.

Curated by Marcus Graf, Confrontation featured art production by the students and graduates of Yeditepe University Faculty’s Fine Arts on the 25th year anniversary of the university.

I think it was Frank Zappa – though others claim it was Laurie Anderson – who said in an interview that ‘writing on music is much like dancing on architecture’.
In 1998 Ben Jakober and Yannick Vu collaborated on an obvious remake of Marcel Duchamp’s Roue de Bicyclette, his first “readymade” object. Duchamp combined a bicycle wheel, a fork and a stool to create a machine which served no purpose, subverting accepted norms of art.
Inspired by the great European masters, from Renaissance to Art Nouveau, Berber’s works exemplify the deep, opaque whites of his journeys through the fairy tale landscapes of Bosnia to the dark, macabre burrows of Srebrenica.
