Light Painting: Photography

What do we need to paint? Can we paint without pencils, paints or papers? What do we need to take photos? Are photos and paintings similar? Is a photo also a painting? At this workshop, we seek answers to these questions and adopt an utterly exceptional painting method. We replace paper with the air that surrounds us, and paints with colorful lights. As we paint, we learn about the basics of photography: lights.

Note: Participants are welcomed to bring battery-powered lighting devices such as colored LED lamps, or lightsabers.

As we have limited space at the workshop space, children’s works will be exhibited digitally. Also exhibited at the workshop area are a selection of the works from the summer workshops.
