Pera Museum's A Capella series will stage its season final! The last performance of A Capella at Pera, featuring Turkish State Polyphonic Choir’s principal conductor Burak Onur Erdem as the art director, will be "Sirene" on 18th of May, Saturday, at 17.00.
Prior to the concert, a limited number of music enthusiasts may participate in "Conversation Session" for discussing the production process of a capella music, chatting with musicians and sharing their knowledge. The event, which will bring together the musicians with their audience just before the concert, will focus on the tradition of and compositions for women's choirs in Turkey and the world.

Sirene
Named after Greek mythology's mysterious creatures with enchanting voices called sirens, Sirene has been established in 2014 under the guidance of Istanbul University State Conservatory Faculty Member and choirmaster Volkan Akkoç to blend the dynamic, combative and free-spirited character of Turkish women with the folkloric tunes of both the West and Anatolia, in line with the motto “Our voices echo from distant seas.”

Admissions 20 TL. Tickets can be purchased on Biletix. Sales at the Museum will begin on the day of the concert. Friends of Pera Museum can buy tickets from the museum with a 50% discount. Places are limited.
"Conversation Session + Concert" admissions 25 TL. Places for "Conversation Session" are limited to 10 people. Tickets can be purchased on Biletix.

Our Doublethink Double vision exhibition’s title alludes to George Orwell’s seminal work 1984 and presents a selection that includes Tracey Emin, Marcel Dzama, Anselm Kiefer, Bruce Nauman, Raymond Pettibon, and Thomas Ruff, as well as Turkish artists, tracing the steps of pluralistic thought through works of art.
