In the Pera Kids workshops, participants discovered arts with the inspiration they drew from the Pera Museum’s collections and temporary exhibitions. After an exhibition tour supervised by an educator, children in the workshop experienced interactively exhibitions and the artists’ works by seeing, touching, and smelling them.
Children in the age group 7-12 had an instructive and entertaining art experience through video-making with stop-motion technique, linoleum printing, paper designing from coffee, shadow theatre, body percussion, 3D printing technology, dancing, and other practices involving different materials and techniques such as sculpting with gas concrete.
Furthermore, in the workshops, children’s museum consciousness and aesthetic skills were improved by enabling them to experience the museum as a living space through games, role-playing, and improvisations.
