In the Pera Kids workshops, participants discovered arts with the inspiration they drew from the Pera Museum’s collections and temporary exhibitions. After an exhibition tour supervised by an educator, children in the workshop experienced interactively exhibitions and the artists’ works by seeing, touching, and smelling them.
Children in the age group 4-6 engaged in creative practices such as paraffin, collage, clay, sculpture, relief, papier-mâché, puppetry, portraiture, dipped candle, abstract photography, and designed musical instruments by using waste materials.
Furthermore, in the workshops, children’s museum consciousness and aesthetic skills were improved by enabling them to experience the museum as a living space through games, role-playing, and improvisations.
