HORS PISTES
For the fourth edition at the Pera Museum, Pera Film welcomes once again Centre Pompidou's Hors Pistes. The selected films for İstanbul come from the 2011 Paris film event under the theme of "Hypocrisy: Faces of Capitalism." The selection entails 7 medium length films, focusing on new uses of the contemporary image, showing breaks and diversions from the traditional forms of film and storytelling. The films of acclaimed artists in this program investigate the world we live in by challenging narrative forms and remapping the borders between film genres (fiction, documentary, film essay...).
